Healthy Breakfast with wheat grits

Wheat grits or broken wheat is  a very healthy ceraeal,and can be cooked in any form,sweet or salted.

Today I have tried out a version of fibre filled  wheat grits , better known as daliya
in India. Usually  it is  roasted and cooked with milk.

What I have tried out  is a wholesome breakfast or  (can also be had for dinner)

Ingridients


Broken wheat  - 1 cup(lightly roasted)
Onion  - 1  sliced
Green chilly  ( finely chopped)
Cauliflower florets  - 4 to 5
Carrot -1 small (grated)
Beans and peas
Salt to taste
Red chilly powder
Spices (turmeric or garam masala optional)
 Butter -  1 tsp

Method

 In a pan saute onions  in butter ,  add the  all the vegetables and saute for 3 minutes or until veggies are tender. Add salt and green chillies.
Add the roasted  broken wheat or grits and mix well . Add two cups of water and simmer  until cooked . There should not be any water left. Check if it is fully cooked.

  Once done garnish with corainder leaves.  Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
