HOW TO MAKE GOBI MANCHURIAN

Dry Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian  is made  using cauliflower  florets.  Gobi Manchurian  is usually  accompanied  by  fried veg  rice or can be had as a starter.  It is  a very tangy dish and I usually  make it with rice.

The basic  ingredients  we need for making  this yummy  dish are

Cauliflower  florets   - 2 cups

Onions                          - 2 chopped

Garlic ginger paste      - 1 tsp

Capsicum                       - 1

Corn flour ( as required )

Salt to taste

Vinegar  1 tsp

Tomato  puree           2 tsp

Soya sauce                  2 tsp

Chilli sauce                 2 tsp

Spring  onions            2

Oil  to fry and saute .

Method

Wash thoroughly the  cauliflower  florets  and blanch them in salted  boiling water for
A minute.  Do not overboil.  Drain  the water  and pat dry  the florets  with a clean cloth or tissue  paper.

Now , in a  bowl add the florets  and sprinkle  the corn flour and  salt . Add the ginger garlic paste and mix well.

In a wok,   heat oil to fry the florets  till golden brown.  Keep them aside.

You can  reduce  the quantity  of oil for making the Manchurian, only  a tablespoon  of oil will do.  Heat again the oil.  Saute the onions that are evenly and well chopped  in squares  Add the sliced capsicum  and saute for a minute.  Add salt,  tomato  puree and  saute for another  two minutes.  Add vinegar  and the chilli sauce and the soya sauce  and mix  and saute well.  Add the fried cauliflower  florets  and mix well.

Mix two tsp of corn flour in 1/2 cup of water and pour over the  cauliflower  mixture.  Quickly mix well for a minute  and turn off the flames.   Garnish  with thinly sliced spring onions.  Serve hot.
