Paneer## gravy#creamy#rich#Indian#delicious# my all time favourite.
All of us are very fond of the rich white paneer. It is an all time favourite dish which can be had with the Indian breads. There are quite a few ways of making it,some like it very creamy, some use a lot of sauce and spices. Here I am going to make it very simple, although rich with a few ingredients.
Ingredients required are
Fresh paneer 200gms
Onions 3
Garlic ginger paste 1tsp
Soaked cashews 50 gms (soaked )
Milk 1/2 cup
Cream. 2 tsp
Tomatoes. 2
Dried funugreek leaves
Green chilies 2
Salt to taste
Garam masala 1 tsp
Corainder powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1tsp
Green cardamon. 2
Bay leaves 2
Oil for cooking 2 tsp
Method
Dice the paneer into cubes. Slice the onions. Heat a pan, and saute the onions til light brown. Let cool. Blend the tomatoes to make a puree.
In a mixer blend the onions and green chillies. Convert them again into the same pan and saute with 1/2 tap of oil by adding the cardamon and bay leaves. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute, add the tomato puree and saute for ten minutes on slow flame. Add salt, chilli powder ,a pinch of sugar and saute for about a minute, adding a little water to avoid sticking to the pan.
Blend the cashews to a very fine paste and add to the mixture. Add the milk and cook for about a minute. If the gravy is very thick add 1/2 cup water and cook. Now add the diced paneer to the gravy and boil for five minutes. Garnish with coriander and funugreek leaves and garam masala. Serve hot with Roti or naan .
