Gujjiya is a popular Indian sweet ,mostly made during " HOLI "Festival.
Ingredients
Maida flour -1/2 kg
Sugar - 200gms
Dry fruit
Pista,almonds,kishmish,
Chironji,
Khoya - 250 gms
Oil or ghee
Cardamon powder 1 tsp
Method
Crush all the dry fruits and keep aside.
Knead the maida to a tight puri like dough adding little oil to the flour. Keep it covered with a wet cloth for half an hour.
Stuffing
Heat a pan and slightly cook the khoya until it is pink and dry. Let cool. Add the powdered sugar and the dry fruits and mix well. The stuffing is ready for the gujjiyas.
Make small size balls and roll out like a puri as many required. It should not be rolled too thin or else the stuffing will come out. On one half of the pure put two tsp of the khoya mixture. Fold the other half and stick the sides with a wet maida paste. Roll out all.
In a shallow kadai heat oil and fry on medium heat till crispy .
