CASHEW PEAS SAMOSA
This recipe of cashew peas samosa is easy to make and a good evening snack.. Generally samosas are stuffed with either potatoes or onions and in some places they are filled with veggies. But this stuffing of green peas and cashew is unique and gives a good healthy filling.
Ingredients
All purpose flour - 500 grams
Fresh green peas - 200 grams
Cashews - 50grams
Salt
Garam masala 2 tsp
Corainder powder 1 tsp
Amchur powder. 2 tsp
Red chilli powder 2 tsp
Jeera powder. 1 tsp
Oil for frying
Method
Knead the flour by adding 1/2 a cup of oil ,some water a little salt to a tight dough. Keep aside for some time. Boil the peas slightly ,drain and keep ready for the stuffing.
In a hot pan, add 2 tsp oil, roast the cashew slightly, add the peas and the salt, coriander powder, green chillies ,amchur red chillies and saute for a minute till the mixture is dry. Let cool.
The real art to make the samosa is to make a nice fold.
Make small balls from the dough and roll each one like a puri. Separate each into two halves. Take the filling and keep in the centre of one half and fold it into a triangular shape. Seal all the sides with a paste made out of maida or flour.
In a Kadai, heat oil, and add the samosas one by one till they are crisp golden and brown.
