CASHEW   PEAS   SAMOSA

This  recipe  of cashew  peas samosa  is  easy  to make and a good  evening  snack.. Generally  samosas  are stuffed with either potatoes  or onions and in some places  they are filled with veggies. But this stuffing of green peas and cashew  is unique  and gives  a good healthy  filling.

Ingredients

All purpose  flour - 500 grams
Fresh green peas -  200 grams
Cashews                -   50grams
Salt
Garam masala          2 tsp
Corainder powder   1 tsp
Amchur  powder.     2 tsp
Red chilli  powder    2 tsp
Jeera powder.            1 tsp
Oil for frying

Method

Knead the flour by adding  1/2 a cup of oil ,some water  a little  salt to a tight  dough. Keep aside for some time. Boil the peas slightly ,drain and keep ready for the stuffing.

In a hot pan, add 2 tsp oil, roast  the cashew slightly, add the peas  and the  salt, coriander  powder, green chillies ,amchur red chillies  and saute  for a minute  till the mixture  is dry. Let cool.

The real art to make the samosa  is to make a nice fold.

Make  small  balls  from the dough and roll each one like a puri. Separate  each into two halves.  Take the filling  and  keep in the centre  of  one half and  fold it into a triangular  shape. Seal all the sides with a paste  made  out of maida or flour.

In a Kadai,  heat oil,  and add the samosas one by one till  they are crisp golden and brown.
