Low fat sandesh With cardamon flavour

Low fat sandesh  with Elachi  flavour
Sandesh  is a sweet  dessert  prominent  in Bengal. Bengalis are very fond of sweets .
This recipe  is  made from low fat milk and calorie count  is less. So there is no worry to enjoy  them without  counting .
Ingredients
Low fat  milk  -  1litre
Sugar  powdered  -200gms.
Elachi  or cardamon  powder for flavour.
Ghee  -1tablespoon
Saffron  - few  strands
Method
Boil milk in a vessel. Add lemon or curd to the milk so that it is cudled.this will form a home made panneer.use a muslin cloth to drain the water. Hang the panneer till dry. It may take 2 - 3 hours.
Once the paneer  is dry mash well,using fingers. Mash  until soft and smooth. You can add a spoonful  of flour  to this so that it does not break. Mix the powdered  sugar.

 In  a non stick heated pan add the ghee paneer   and keep stirring  till dry.
When completely  dry add the Elachi  powder to it  and mix well.Remove from fire. Let cool .divide  into small  portions. Shape  each into the shape  of sandesh.Decorate with the saffron on top.
